PenetraMax

In their recent studies el-S et al. showed that L-penetratin peptide enhanced the bioavailability of insulin when attached. They showed that nasal and intestinal absorption is significantly increased with the cell penetrating peptide. In their paper, “One month subchronic toxicity study of cell-penetrating peptides for insulin nasal delivery in rats”, in order to alleviate the effect of enzymatic degradation and increase the amount of insulin that reaches the circulation, they modified L-penetratin. The new analog named penetramax is the modified version of the parent L-penetratin and significantly increased the bioavailability of insulin.
